Handling and assessment fee’s
· I agree to pay a Minimum Handling Fee of $75.00 - $99.00 (inc GST) for an initial inspection and / or assessment before further work is quoted. If I choose not to proceed I agree to forfeit the fee of $75.00 · $99.00 (inc GST) even in a condition where the item is found to be non repairable.
· I understand that George’s Tech Repairs’ (GTR) staff may decide a differing assessment fee, depending on the complexity of the repair. This will be communicated to me before work will begin.
Authorisation
· I authorise George’s Tech Repairs (GTR) technician(s) to perform the discussed repairs on my electronic device.
· I understand George’s Tech Repairs (GTR) technicians have extensive experience in performing work on electronic devices and are not affiliated with device manufacturers.
· I understand and acknowledge that George’s Tech Repairs technicians and staff will endeavor to repair my device at my own risk and I agree to release and indemnify George’s Tech Repairs technicians and staff from all liability pertaining to damage of any kind which may arise from works performed on my electronic device. This includes but is not limited to water damage and unforeseen device issues which may arise out of the assessment. I acknowledge that my device may be irreparable due to manufacturing design or product life cycle.
Ownership & Payment
· I understand personal devices & other goods left for inspection, and/or repairs remain the property of George’s Tech Repairs until all outstanding monies are received in full.
· I acknowledge that I am the rightful owner of the device, or have the authority of the owner, and am authorised to make decisions regarding the repair in question.
· I acknowledge and understand it is my responsibility to request an eftpos or transaction receipt as these do expire and have limited references, and that invoice receipts are available both digitally and printed upon request.
· I understand and acknowledge that it is my responsibility to acknowledge a credit card surcharge, transfer fee or taxation fee upon payment, and these are not the responsibility of George’s Tech Repairs (GTR) workers to notify me of these fees.
· I understand that any credit card, transfer, or taxation fees occurring upon payment are in no control of George’s Tech Repairs (GTR) staff, and are dependent on my own bank's choices. GTR Staff hold no responsibility in refunding Credit Card surcharge fees.
· I understand and acknowledge that unless prior arrangement or consent has been given to me I must pay and collect my device as soon as possible after repairs are complete.
Additional Faults & Properties of liquid damages
· Any further faults identified by our technicians but not described at the time of check-in will attract additional repair costs and will require my approval before work is carried out
· I’m aware that liquid damage causes corrosion to components of electronic devices. We will try our utmost to remove corrosion and repair damage caused by such where possible.
Timeframe & Pricing Estimations
· I understand the time frame given to me is a guideline. Unforeseen circumstances out of control of George’s Tech Repairs (GTR) technicians and affiliated staff may affect the amount of time required to complete a repair. Should there be a problem with the repair, George’s Tech Repairs will contact me to give an updated time frame. Shipping delays are common and can affect the timeframe originally considered.
· In an event where I require my device returned from George’s Tech Repairs (GTR) before the estimated time frame, I understand and agree that I will be responsible to cover the costs of non returnable parts, freight and shipping, minimum labor and assessment fees, and restocking fees, where these are applicable.
Risk and Liability
· I understand and acknowledge that during the repair process some or all of my stored data may be lost, and I am responsible for keeping a copy of my user generated data.
· I understand and acknowledge that George’s Tech Repairs’ (GTR) technicians will not browse through any personal, private, or confidential information or data held on my device, however, technicians and staff may inadvertently see data during the course of their work. I acknowledge and understand that this may occur considering data recovery requirements. I acknowledge and understand that any confidential data should be removed from my device prior to engaging with George’s Tech Repairs.
· I agree to provide passwords, patterns and biometrics to George’s Tech Repairs staff and technicians for the purpose of repairing, assessing, and / or testing my device. I understand and acknowledge that certain processes require constant biometric or two factor authentication which may require my presence in store during the course of the process.
· I understand and acknowledge that there are conditions where George’s Tech Repairs (GTR) technicians and staff are unable to test the device. In this event we are unable to ensure its full function and further costs may be incurred if the device needs to be assessed again.
Warranty Liability
· I understand and acknowledge that repairs and or technical support provided by George’s Tech Repairs (GTR) may void manufacturer warranties. GTR and its affiliates do not assume any liability or warranty in the event that the manufacturer warranties are voided but may, at its sole discretion offer its own warranty on the parts and / or services performed.
Long-Term Disposal Terms
· I understand and acknowledge that George’s Tech Repairs (GTR), reserves the right to safely dispose of my items after a certain amount of time has expired where I have not collected my device with due notice. I understand that George’s Tech Repairs (GTR), will take care in erasing sensitive personal information or items securely. I understand and agree that it is my responsibility to ask for the exact terms of disposal, as they are specific to devices, and the situation. George’s Tech Repairs (GTR), always have staff available to notify me of these exact terms, under my own request.
· I understand and acknowledge that disposal will involve the device itself, and all other items booked in with the device.
· After a reasonable period of inaction George’s Tech Repairs Staff will make attempts to contact me directly. This includes phone calls, messages, and emails where applicable. In the event that I fail to respond to these contacts or take action by picking up the device and settling any attached invoices, disposal terms will take place.
· I understand and acknowledge that both before and after disposal terms occur, and at any time, George’s Tech Repairs (GTR) staff will follow up any unpaid invoices related to my job. I understand that these unpaid invoices still require payment even in the event the device has been disposed of. In the event that an invoice remains unpaid for an unreasonably extensive period of time, I agree and understand that certain additional fees may be incurred to cover the efforts of payment collection.
Estimates
· I understand and acknowledge that any repair estimate provided is an approximate figure based on our initial assessment. The final cost may vary within a reasonable value if additional issues are identified during the repair process, and cost prices may change. George’s Tech Repairs (GTR) staff and technicians will always seek your approval before proceeding with any work that largely differs from the original estimate.
Warranty Policy
· Encompassing repairs, a maximum of 90 days warranty is offered on the parts themselves. I understand and acknowledge the warranty period begins on the date I am notified that my device is ready for collection, with no exceptions.
· I understand and acknowledge that it is my responsibility to contactGeorge’s Tech Repairs (GTR) if I wish to have the device assessed under a warranty check, prior to warranty expiration. In the event that I do not use or access my device after collection I understand and acknowledge that my warranty period begins on the date that I am notified my device is available for collection, with no exceptions.
· Repairs come with the part supplied warranty, to assure accurate warranty terms I will query George’s Tech Repairs (GTR) technicians and staff for further details. Warranty terms apply for faults and defects in the repaired / replaced parts and workmanship. Liquid damaged devices and board level repairs carry no warranty as GTR is unable to guarantee the fault or another fault will not arise after repairs, due to the extent of damage that liquid can cause to devices. There is no warranty offered on repairs when parts are supplied by the customer.
· If any damage occurs to the replaced part after repairs I understand and acknowledge that warranty may be voided in this situation. If liquid damage or physical damage is found in any location on the device, I understand and acknowledge that warranty may be voided in this situation.
· If the stated fault cannot be replicated, I understand and acknowledge that warranty terms cannot apply unless the issues can be consistently replicated.
· I understand and acknowledge that all custom PC’s, computer parts, and components are covered by manufacturer warranties, which are subject to the manufacturer’s specific terms and conditions. It is my responsibility to carry out a RMA process or check the warranty status of a part. In the event a component requires warranty service or replacement, and removal or reinstallation is required from a custom-built PC, additional labour charges may apply for removal or reinstallation.
Finalities
· I understand that it is my own sole responsibility to request further clarification of these above terms and conditions in the event that I require further details. Failure to do so does not open these conditions towards interpretation.
